Hey guys, haven’t written in a while again. Hope you don’t mind. I just noticed/remembered two things. First off, I’ve been getting a bunch of those pesky federal tax return forms in the mail. I guess it’s that season again. Time to fire up your tax program of choice and hit the books to see how much the Fed owes you…or you owe the Fed. :(
Secondly, I remembered Publix employees get access to a very useful website. Want a iPod or computer for cheap? Cellphone plan? Car? Check it out.

Sorry for not posting for a while. School started up and, well, I’ve had very little free time to spend here when not in classes or working. Nothing I can do about it, really. At least nothing I could do that wouldn’t get me fired, especially with the way the economy’s finally become. It’s not as if you guys are hammering my email inbox with massive lists of suggestions for articles and improvements and whatnot either, though. ;)
Anyhow, what I really wanted to write about was Publix’s new uniforms. If you haven’t heard about this already, someone’s not paying any attention to Publix’s internal magazine, Publix News. Slowly, each Publix store will switch over to the new uniform. It’s a lot more green than what we’re used to. The general consensus among the mostly-female highschool-age cashiers at my Publix was that they were glad they weren’t baggers or management. I tend to agree about the management bit (holy deities, what kind of tie is THAT?), but green isn’t too bad of a shirt color, is it? Biggest problem for me is replacing all the navy blue pants I have with flat black ones. Those are going to be a pain to wear in warm weather. :l

Ah, great, classes just started again at my local community college (still working on getting those prereqs done). This doesn’t look good for PublixForum.com. Now I’ll have even less time to work on it. :( Thank god for Publix’s tuition reimbursement program, though (I was lazy in high school, didn’t even get a Florida Bright Futures scholarship). Unfortunately, a little more than $100 of it got taxed away by the Fed before ink hit check. Yeah, there went my week’s true earnings. Oh well, that’s the cost of higher education nowadays. :l

Whew, all done setting up Wordpress and now I’m feeling a bit braindead. See you in the morning; it’s 2:20am and I have work at 5pm. Anyhow, welcome to Blog.PublixForum.com. As you can see, there’s pretty much nothing here (except for that “About” page over there that’s climbing the Google search result ladder as I type). Sorry! Rome wasn’t built in a day. ;)
